The Card of Joy (COJ) app delivers personalized gift cards & giving experiences in addition to local cash back deals (such as Söderkortet) directly to your mobile device. With COJ, you no longer need to carry physical gift cards in your wallet. The app lets you activate and make mobile purchases with any COJ-issued card offered by hundreds of local stores, boutiques, restaurants, cafes, salons, and merchants across Sweden’s most popular shopping districts.
A card to give away - for any occasion
Purchase a gift card for a friend or loved one directly from the app or visit www.cardofjoy.com. Select a card from hundreds of genuine local stores, restaurants, carefully selected to deliver unique and memorable giving experiences. Cards will be mailed directly to your home address or to a destination of your own choice.
Video greetings - extend the giving experience
Add a personal touch and surprise to your gift by adding a personal video greeting to your card. Record your own video or choose from pre-recorded clips delivered by our merchants.
Söderkortet - shop local, earn up to 25% cash back*
Maximize your daily purchases - earn up to 25% cash back when shopping at participating stores, restaurants and cafes located in the Södermalm neighborhood in Stockholm, Sweden. Support local merchants and become a part of the Söder neighborhood. The card is free of charge and can be conveniently reloaded using Swish or a debit/credit card.
*The cash back amount will be added back to your Söder Card once your purchase has been finalized.
An easy-to-use experience
To activate, redeem, or load your card, follow the simple steps below (this applies to all COJ-issued gift cards and Söderkortet).
Card activation
1. Start with downloading the COJ app
2. Activate your card using the Card ID and PIN found on the reverse of your card.
3. The card and its balance will be shown on the screen.
Card redemption
1. Visit the merchant store location and launch the app on your phone.
2. Select the card and tap the redeem value option.
3. Specify the redemption amount and generate a “purchase code”
4. Show it to the merchant who will confirm the code and amount at the register.
5. Your purchase is completed! Note, in cases where the purchase amount exceeds the value on the card, you can always pay the difference by using cash, credit or debit (depending on what other forms of payment the merchant accepts).
Card load
1. Load your card using Swish. Open your Swish app and scan the QR code located on the back of the card carrier.
